- Teach mother to watch for hunger facial movements
- Stimulate the child
- Diaper change
- Massage
- Visual stimulation
III. Management: Hungry baby
- Increase frequency and length of feeds for growth spurt
- Milk production will increase
IV. Management: Jaundice
V. Management: Poor Weight gain
- Frequent nursing (every 2-3 hours)
- Allow adequate time for infant to feed
- Consider supplemental nursing system
